I'm really not good at this am I?
Last night I was going to write a blog but an epic tokbox/skype call with EFAO distracted me and I can't write and talk to those guys at the same time. There is just way too much going on in an EFAO conversation to be writing at the same time. Unless they're talking about Nair or bras, which happens every now and then considering there are only 3 boys in the EFAO chat and the rest are girls.
This blog is going to be a short one, I just want to write about how much I ADORE these people. I've never met a group of such amazing people in my life. Dear friend, Kara talked to me on skype one day because she wanted to get to know me better before AwesomeCon and so she added me into a skype call with her and some other friends. It was crazy how we immediately bonded because we all had so much in common. I enjoyed talking to these people so much, I think that conversation went on for more than 2 hours. That night more people actually entered the chat and I got to meet even more amazing people. Eventually the conversation started growing and growing and now we have...*counting*...21 people in this chat. When new people come in they're just immediately accepted, and everyone just loves each other and it's freaking amazing. Ah. I love them so much. One might think that we'd have to rely on nerdfighteria, the fandom and nerdy things to keep conversations going but we've grown so close to each other that we can talk about our problems and dark points in our lives and personally when I need to vent things I just go to them. They always give great advice and make me feel better instantly. The week after I left them at AwesomeCon was basically the most nostalgia-tastic week in my life. I was moping around WISHING I was with them. I still haven't met all of them IRL but I look forward to the day I do.
BY THE WAY, SAM HARRIS IS COMING THURSDAY! EPIC YAYZ.
Alright. That's all. Honestly I'm probably going to think about this blog in like 20 minutes and regret not saying more about them. I do that with most blogs, I always feel like I forget things and I have to go back and add them.

BEDA #14-15 - Otakuthon: Saturday and Sunday
Hi there.
Sorry about the lack of BEDA for the past 2 days, but I've been Otakuthon-ing it up! It was a huge relief to go through the next two days without having to worry about performances or carrying heavy bags xD
A lot of Saturday was spent looking around and checking out people's costumes and taking pictures. Personally I also did a lot of shopping, I ended buying too many pins. I love pins. I also bought a really cute poster of Haruhi. I think the best purchase made on Saturday was this drawing that Alex, Annie, and I all split on. It was a drawing of us in Hogwarts uniforms and because for the majority of the year we're without our internet friends, "The Trio" was written on top. It was a beautiful picture and all of us look supermegafoxyawesomehot in anime form. Some of us also checked out a panel by Quinton Flynn who voiced the character Axel in Kingdom Hearts. He was really cool IRL. It's strange meeting a voice actor, you can know the character so well and then you see guy who plays them and it's just strange. Later on at night we went to the Cosplay Cafe and watched some karaoke. I was going to sing a song for my friend but I wasn't able to because of my dead voice/other things going on.
Saturday night was pretty eventful. During karaoke, my friend realized he'd lost his wallet so we went back to this bubble tea lounge that we stayed at for a little while and it turns out that it was there so all was well. We walked back to karaoke to find my friend sitting down in mid-spazzing. I sat down with her and she explained that a boy in her grade had called her and asked her to prom then a little while after the call was over, she got another call from another boy saying that she had 20 minutes to decide who she was going with. She had no idea what to do. She doesn't talk to either of these boys much so all of our friends told her that she shouldn't go through with it if she didn't want to, and she did.
How can they be so daft? Yes I said daft. I've been watching Doctor Who, wuddup?
But seriously! Who calls a girl who you barely talk to in the middle of summer asking to go to prom which only happens around May-June. WTF. At least take the year to get to know her better then you can see where you get from there. To wrap up the night we watched some epic fireworks and went to a dance party. No one can party like nerds, honestly. And it's so awesome because no one judges you for being weird or dancing badly because everyone is just so awesome.
Saturday night I slept at Alex's house and I learned that when I'm tired I speak like a mad man xD
We woke up at about 8 and got to the con around 10 or 11. I spent most of the morning finishing my shopping, I bought a few more posters and a few more pins. We also went to this thing called "Cosplay Chess" which is pretty self explanatory, but it was so awesome! The concept was manga characters on one side and video game characters on the other.
It was really awesome.
Whenever a player was taken out, the character doing the taking out and the character being taken out would leave the chess board and do an epic battle scene. Some of them were pretty funny. My favourite was the Tomoyo kill, taking multiple pictures of the target (you wouldn't understand unless you watch Cardcaptor Sakura.) A few of my friends also tried out for Otakuthon Idol which is basically American Idol but you know...Otakuthon.
Only one of my friends got in and when he was performing I was so nervous for him. It was awful. I wasn't even DOING anything, all I had to do was cheer. I can't imagine what he was feeling. But he was fantastic. My favourite performer was this girl around my age, probably older, singing this slow ballad. She was really pretty and very talented.
During Otakuthon Idol I took the time to run back to the Merch room and grab this poster from the same girl who drew our group picture. All of her posters were her own artwork and she made this beautiful Deathly Hallows poster. It's so awesome.
You can see it here: http://dailybooth.com/PatrickWrocks/7254006
The last thing we did was check out the Closing Ceremonies dance routine because the performers said that they wanted us to see it. It was interesting. It was a Death Note themed dance and it was pretty cool!
We were supposed to go out to Korean dinner afterwards but it didn't happen. 3
This blog is five minutes late! Ok so, I had a great weekend, I hope you all did too andd I will probably see you tomorrow, both on here and NerdfighterRatio on YouTube!
Bye!

BEDA #13 - Performing at Otakuthon
I'M AN ASIAN NERD.
It's been proven. Know where I was today? At an anime convention. NO BIG DEAL.
It was so awesome! I honestly didn't get to do much just because I was a) carrying two very heavy bags and it pained me to walk and b) we were performing in the Opening Ceremonies and in this J-pop show. Our performances went really well but as usual, I was a wreck backstage. Whenever I'm about to go on during a play or even during my glee club performance I am always a nervous freaking wreck. I like hyperventilate and get dehydrated and it's awful. It's actually one of the worst feelings ever. But I was dancing for the most part in this my songs and at one point I rapped but rapping is easier than singing. When I was in glee my voice sounded awful because of how nervous I was. It won't happen again. Yes it will. But I'll try to control myself.
The feeling of being up on stage is just so freaking awesome! I was honestly really nervous to rap because I can't even sing in front of people and rapping can be far more embarassing. But the crowd enjoyed and and they were cheering and it just made me feel really good. There was also a lot of love going around all the performers because we would cheer extremely loud for each other and yell things and we were all supporting each other. It was great. I love conventions. They bring people together and despite the fact that I'm a socially awkward nerd, I like meeting new people.
I didn't buy much today unfortunately, but I have a solid list of things I need to buy. I bought one plushie today and it's so cute. I love it :D
I have 195$ in my wallet right now from savings, allowance and refunds for Otakuthon (because we were performing we got refunds :D)
I plan to save some (a lot) of this money for LeakyCon but I don't know how much it's going to be. I get carried away. There are still a ton of other things I want and anime stuff is usually pretty overpriced.
So it's late. And I want to go to bedd. I need to wake up early so I can get to the convention just as it starts. Saturday should be awesome. Especially when I don't have to carry heavy bags.
Hope you enjoyed this short and nerdy blog!

BEDA #12 - Laziness and Otakuthon Excitement
HELLO THERE!
Today's blog is going to be one of those normal blogs that most people wouldn't care about but hopefully you'll still find something enjoyable about it.
So today I basically got to be lazy for the majority of the day. I had to be at the place where Otakuthon is taking place to pick up my badge but that was only at 5. Most of the time before that was spent playing my guitar/uke. I love my uke so freaking much, I'm really happy I learned to play it. I was really inspired by Lauren Fairweather to start learning, she's awesome. I also tried to learn piano today which was interesting. I was talking to Mike Lombardo about learning piano and he told me to buy a book on music theory and that once I know that, I'm pretty much set. So because I'm a) cheap and b) was unable to go and buy a music theory book, I did what your average lazy cheap person would do. I googled "Piano theory". I actually did learn something! Although I don't exactly know MUCH more piano than I used to, I now know that CDEFGAB is the order of piano notes and I was learning how they are written and yeah. Basically I'm still a n00b. But I thought it was a little bit productive.
I was also nervously waiting to find out whether or not my Ash Ketchum cosplay for Otakuthon this weekend would turn out successful. I was told very early in the morning while I was half asleep that the sewing person would be able to do the job. I was very happy but I wasn't quite able to show it as I was too preoccupied with...drooling on my pillow and...attempting to go back to the dream I had just unwillingly escaped, I DON'T KNOW. I'm trying to describe what half-asleep people do but there isn't exactly much. They're either trying to go back to sleep or trying to wake up.
So I stopped playing my wonderful instruments and got ready to go to the pre-Otakuthon party (really wasn't a party). I gathered all the stuff I had to bring to people and after turning back to run back the house 3 times I managed to get on a bus and go. I went with Annie who had just gotten back from China so it was nice seeing her.
The badge pick up was generally pretty boring. There wasn't much to do, you stood in line, presented stuff to the people at the tables and then got your badge. My friends were doing Korean dances in the line which made it somewhat more entertaining to be in.
I also met up with some other friends who I haven't seen since school ended and it was awesome, we got some Tim Hortons and just sat down together and talked and it was fun.
ALSO. I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THE PANELS THAT ARE GOING ON AT OTAKUTHON, AND THERE'S A FREAKING HARRY POTTER SLASH PANEL. FANFICTION FTW.
THERE'S ALSO A "HOW TO GET FAMOUS ON THE INTERNET" PANEL. DUUDE!
Unfortunately they're both 16+ but I'm sure we'll find a way in.
If you don't know, Harry Potter "Slash" is basically a panel that is going to discuss the relationships in Harry Potter, both ones that exist and ones that don't.
I'm excited.
When I got home I got to see the Ash jacket that was made and it looks pretty good! The sleeves are a little bit too long but it still looks awesome. I'll post a picture in full cosplay...err. whenever I HAVE a picture xD
A friend of mine has the hat right now and is colouring it for me because I was too afraid to do it myself.
That was my day interwebz! Did you have a nice day? I hope you did.
OH! I also watched the first special of season 4 of Doctor Who. Or would it be the first special of season 5? Whatever. I watched "The Next Doctor"
Alex told me she didn't really like the episode but I wasn't disappointed by it. It wasn't brilliant but it wasn't awful. I'm excited to see the rest of David Tennant's final moments. I'm a little afraid too, I don't know if I'm ready for Matt Smith. David is just fantastic.
That's it for today folks. I'll see you tomorrow!

LOST BEDA ENTRIES.....
Ok this is just going to be one LONG BEDA entry for all the Wifi-less days that have left me powerless.
I'm going to divide this blog in parts so that if you don't care about what I'm writing, you can simply not read it ;D
OK. So. Parts.
PART 1 - Dollhouse and Joss Whedon's general amazingness.
PART 2 - The Lonely Doctor.
PART 3 - Nekkid photos ;)
PART 4 - General nonsense.
Allons-y Alonso!
PART 1 - Dollhouse and Joss Whedon's general amazingness.
So this weekend I finished Dollhouse. I felt quite proud of myself considering I didn't think I was actually going to finish it. I knew I didn't have much of the season left to finish, but I figured that my general laziness and the fact that I have about a week or two to finish two books would hold me back.
So it turns out I stopped watching just when things started to get intense/deep/WHOA.
Dollhouse is about an organization that turns fantasy into reality. They supply "Actives", Actives are people who are given different personalities and skills based on the job they're set to do. They can be the perfect lover, doctor, killer, they can be turned into anything. The story follows an Active named Echo (played by Eliza Dushku who played Faith in Buffy and she's supermegafoxyawesomehot) and the jobs she is hired to do. At the same time an FBI Agent learns more about the Dollhouse and wants to take it down.
The thing I love about the show is that it says a lot about people and their needs and loneliness. I feel like Joss has an understanding of people that most just don't have. Buffy was a show about life, growing up and the dark times that everyone goes through, and showing that you can get past them. Angel was about redemption and how a person can change and Firefly....well honestly it's been a while since I've seen Firefly so I'll have to rewatch that and come back to this.
Anyway as Dollhouse advances you start to see how awful being lonely can feel and how some people would do anything to try and make that feeling go away even if it means being with someone who basically isn't real.
What really got me was seeing a character who has is relatively strong with an Active. I think it represented the mask that some people put on to hide what they're feeling inside. This character was a very lonely and desperate but you would have never been able to tell. This character realized how desperate she was and she thought it was pathetic. She knows that this man, this perfect man that she created is not real and will never be real.
It just...ah. It was crazy and deep and ah. You HAVE to watch it. It's also creepy. Some of the ideas that went into this show were just so great and ah. Yes. Fantastic show.
Joss just has this way of getting to me. He creates the best characters and writes the best stuff, he knows how to push my buttons. (I push your mum's buttons)
It's pretty much my DREAM to be part of the Joss Whedon family. He is freaking awesome.
OK. Moving on.
PART 2 - The Lonely Doctor.
This is kind of a response to Alex's comment on my Doctor Who blog about how I should be feeling bad about the Doctor and other things that I can't remember at this current moment.
This section is going to be my thoughts on the Doctor's character and such.
The Doctor is a FANTASTIC character. And I'll start now by saying I will ETERNALLY feel bad for him.
The thing about the Doctor is that he is always alone. He can't fall in love or form an eternal friendship because in the end it's just him, he is the last of his kind and nothing will ever change that. It's heartbreaking to see him with these companions because of how they effect him and how the bonds between them are so strong but in the end he can't stay with them.
The Rose storyline was heartbreaking because the Doctor was basically depressed throughout the first season and Rose changed him. She gave him happiness, a sense of mercy and they were both slowly falling for each other. As the series advanced they grew closer and closer and you didn't even think about what was going to happen in their future because they were so happy together. But the Doctor ended up alone in the end. He lost Rose in a parallell dimension and even when they were reunited he gave her up for the greater good. That's what's wonderful and tragic about the Doctor. Everyone comes before him. He would easily sacrifice himself for even his worst enemy if it could save them.
I still stick by my "I feel bad for Rose" and I feel worse for Donna. No one gets a happy ending in Doctor Who. Except for maybe Mickey? And maybe Martha. But she didn't get the Doctor which sucks but it was never really that serious. She's engaged so I guess she's happy.
Anyway. I can't stop thinking about Donna Noble. I'll miss her so much.
PART 3 - Nekkid photos ;)
You're sick.
Part 4 - General nonsense.
So. Hey. It's been a while hasn't it? Tis what I get when I'm away from the interwebz for long periods of time. But my internet-less time is always somewhat productive. I mean, without it I can actually read or watch Doctor Who because I don't have the EFAO chat room to distract me.
Did I mention that I hate being away from YouTube? It's SO annoying. I have all these subs and it's insane. But I love my subs. I was dying of laughter at a wheezywaiter video today.
ALSO, I think I'm going to buy a StarKid shirt. But you guys have to tell me which one I should get because I don't know. I really want a Granger Danger shirt because A) I'm in love with Hermione Granger B) The song is fantastic.
But I also want the supermegafoxyawesomehot shirt and the "Keep Calm, It's gonna be totally awesome" shirt.
Give me your vote. I think I'm going with either Granger Danger or Totally Awesome but I don't know.
Oh! I think it's pretty much set that I'm going to LeakyCon. I just don't know WHO I'm going with. And as for hotels I'm kind of hoping to just stay with random peepz. Apparently Kara has a room plan that I might join in on. We shall see.
I'm so stoked for Leaky. I've constructed a list of things I need to do at LeakyCon:
- Eat chipotle with hayleyghoover
- Dance with Kristina and Alex at the ball.
- Marry Sierra and dance again to Hey Molly by Mike Lombardo.
- Punch dance with Blaire
- Eat corn with Maddy
- Sing "End of an Era" and "This is Never Gonna End" with lots of people at DH part 2
- Hang out with the CoWs/Lane2Leakycon people.
- Play an original Wrock song (doesn't have to be on stage or anything but I want to have a couple decent songs written by then and playing them would be fun)
The list shall grow. And I really don't want to link all of these people I'm sorry.
I think this wraps up the blog. It wasn't as long as I thought it would be but I enjoyed writing it anyway.
Also, I suck. Blogger is like some sort of new technology because I was trying to follow Alice (who I realized followed me a while ago and got really excited because I think you're a CoW, Alice. If you're not a CoW then I'm pretty sure you're a Lane2LeakyCon member. If you're neither, then this will be very embarassing.) and it took my a bajillion years to follow her back. *sigh*
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed it.
-Patrick
EDIT: I changed my mind. It's long enough. (That's what she said)
I'm going to divide this blog in parts so that if you don't care about what I'm writing, you can simply not read it ;D

EDIT: I changed my mind. It's long enough. (That's what she said)

BEDA #6 - Doctor Who Series 4
Omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgogmogmgomg
My sister is talking to her friend about going to LeakyCon with me………
*CROSSES FREAKING FINGERS*
Ooh. Ooh. Where’s Mo with her good vibes. I need them right now. This blog wasn’t even supposed to be about this. I was going to be blogging about Doctor Who today because I finished and I will but I’m too excited/scared right now. Omgodmfgoidsmgkodmgkdfmg.
OK. DOCTOR WHO. *SPOILERS ALERT*
I was basically hyperventilating through the last three episodes. They were so good. Oh my God. I Got from Turn Left to Journey’s end tonight. Turn Left was frightening, there was an episode similar to this one in Buffy. The episode showed a world without the hero, a world without the Doctor. Catherine Tate’s acting in the episode was amazing; it also showed how great Donna Noble is. Through the Earth’s (and the entire Universe’s I suppose) darkest hour, Donna Noble persevered and saved everyone. She was by far my favorite companion. It was also great to see Rose again after a season full of hidden cameos. I freaked out when she made her first appearance in season 4. Anyway, it was a great episode.
The last two episodes was basically just me sitting as close as possible to the TV and hyperventilating about everything that was happening. First of all, Turn Left ended with Bad Wolf which left me with the general WTF feeling, and then the freaking Earth disappeared. More WTF follows. I was pretty excited when the Doctor said he was bringing Donna to the Shadow Proclamation, I’ve always wondered about it. Also. Oh my God. Ok first let me say, I LOVE reunion episodes. Or like, episodes where everyone comes together. LOVE those. So when I saw Captain Jack and the Torchwood team, Sarah Jane and her son, Martha (I know this is her third appearance but I love Martha) and Rose, I was jumping with excitement on the inside.
The entire episode was just freaking epic, it was interesting seeing the Doctor speak the language of the rhino people (I forgot the name of their species *facepalm*) was interesting haha. I KNEW that the bees disappearing had something to do with the mysterious big bad that doesn’t show itself until the last few episodes. Russell T. Davies is such a good writer, I can’t say whether or not he’s better than Steven Moffat until I’ve watched season 5 (which is apparently written mainly by him) but damn. This episode was brilliant.
I FORGOT TO SAY. HARRIET JONES. I WAS SO HAPPY SHE CAME BACK. I LOVE HER. I did lose respect for her when she destroyed the aliens but I was happy about her return nonetheless.
Another moment in which I freaked out: When I heard EXTERMINATE through the broadcasted message and seeing all the characters react to it. Freaking Daleks man.
Also, the video call with the Doctor and Donna, Martha, Torchwood and Sarah Jane is like my dream Skype call.
Moving on, JOURNEY’S END. Wow. That was so intense, I couldn’t bear it. Before I get into the plot and the ending and blah de blah, JACKIE TYLER CAME BACK! YESSSSSSSSSSSS! I love Jackie. Mickey too I guess.
Right so in general, the episode was extremely well done. Russell T. Davies brilliance continues through this episode. Seeing the Doctor and all of his allies united was so awesome, and the Donna becoming half Time Lord and during that process creating a second Doctor was extremely well planned out. Freaking brilliant. I really liked how this episode really showed how much each of the Doctors companions have changed him using the second Doctor as an example. The Doctor would never have killed all those Daleks because of the perfect mixture of Rose, Martha, and Donna inside him. Though they shared the same appearance, the two Doctors were not the same men. The Rose storyline ended(?) on a good note I think.
I did feel bad for her because she loves the Doctor and he left her with this different man but he was human, he could live with her, he could die with her. Rose understood that and the Doctor knew that she would change him.
I don’t know quite how I feel about the Donna ending. I know it saved her life but Donna left her life at home because she knew it was average and she wanted more, and then she got more (she got more than more) and now has no recollection of it. It worked out for the Doctor because Donna changed him and he’ll always remember her and many others will remember Donna as well but as far she knows nothing in Donna’s life has changed.
It’s sad.
I think I would rather die with all of those memories rather than live without them, but the Doctor would never allow that to happen.
Wow that was a lot of writing about Doctor Who. I think I should wrap this up now.
I hope you enjoyed this blog, I think it’s my nerdiest yet. I’m quite proud.

BEDA #5 - Ramblerambleramble
I think I’m cutting this intro thing. I’ll just go right into it, most people do that. I seem to be the only one attempting to make an intro. I always tend to do that. I feel like writing pieces are incomplete without intros. Whatever.
This is my second intro about intros. *facepalm*
Today was kind of a relief, practice was finished early so I got home at about 1:00. Remember that list of anime movies we were going to watch? Right. We only watched one of those, we watched a movie called Summer Wars which was released recently so although it was a fantastic movie, I didn’t get to redeem any lost childhood moments. So Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle will have to wait until another day.
I also got Doctor Who Series 4 from Alex today. Technically it was from Sophie because she dropped it off at Alex’s house but I got it nonetheless. I watched a few episodes tonight and one at Miko’s house, I watched The Poison Sky, The Doctor's Daughter, The Unicorn and the Wasp Silence in the Library, Forest of the Dead and Midnight.
All the episodes were FANTASTIC. I heard the Library episodes were scary but I didn’t think they were. But the story of the two were great, Steven Moffat is my favorite writer on Doctor Who. He wrote Blink which is one of my favorite episodes. I heard from dear friend Annie that Midnight was scarier but it wasn’t very scary either. It was pretty creepy, with the mixture of the blonde woman with the haunting eyes and human nature. Humans see things that they think may threaten them and the first thing they do is put up a fight. Kill or be killed. That’s why the Doctor is such a great character; he always gives the enemy a choice. He’s knows exactly what taking a life means and how it can corrupt the best of people.
Ah. I love the Doctor. Such a good character.
Anyway this is strange. I’m cheating right now, I didn’t write this on August 5th. I wrote this on the 6th. It’s weird talking about the past as if it were the present.

BEDA #4 - Failure to watch anime movies as a child.
Ready for the quickest blog you've ever read in your ENTIRE LIFE?!
I tend to say that my blogs/vlogs are going to be short when they really end up being very long. The video time limit on the collab channel I'm in (NerdfighterRatio) is 4 minutes and I have a tendency to say in the video "This video is going to be quick" when in reality I actually have to cut out a ton of stuff just to make sure I don't pass 4 minutes. I guess I have a lot to say, that or I talk VERY slow.
So today I finally got back to rehearsals for our show at Otakuthon next week and even though it's been a while I think I did well. I also tried milk tea today. It was weird. It tasted like water with a very odd aftertaste and apparently the milk wasn't creamy so it didn't add the sweetness it was originally supposed to add. My friend and I were also late to this rehearsal and we both thought that our other group members were going to murder us. Luckily that wasn't the case. Apparently the milk tea was our punishment.
After rehearsals we went back to my friends house and basically just hung out until dinner. Now we're about to do an anime movie marathon. I don't really know if we'll actually finish the movies we intend to, but I hope we do because I missed out on these movies as a child and I really need to watch them.
The movies we're watching are:
Summer Wars (not a movie I missed out on in my childhood but I've been told that it's pretty awesome)
Spirited Away (definitely missed out on that in my childhood.)
and Howl's Moving Castle.
Howl's Moving Castle is kind of a maybe. I really don't know if we're going to make it that far. My friend tried to make me watch Memoirs of a Geisha TWICE and both times I fell asleep halfway through. lol.
Right so. Short blog. I hope you liked it anyway. Gotta go watch anime now, like all the cool kids do nowadays.
Bye!

BEDA #3 - Nerdy get-togethers and intros.
Greetings dorky friends....let's take a journey...
is what I put when I can't think of a better intro. Maybe I should have a permanent intro like "Hey world, welcome to my universe!" or "Hey beardlovers"
I would do that but I like having something different every day. Thougfh that would probably get difficult as I can't even think of a clver intro for the third day of BEDA.
One day I'll find something and stick with it. 'Til then you'll just have to stick with intro's that may or may not be original. But HOPEFULLY you'll enjoy them.
Maybe I shouldn't even make intro's. Maybe I should just go right into it (that's what she said?) I dunno. Time will decide for me.
RIGHT so.
Otakuthon is next week (the anime convention) and I think I have everything worked out. I have two practices this week, and one on Sunday that I convinced my mother to take me. Win? I think so. I honestly thought she wouldn't let me go to it, but on some level she understands me. I think the fact that I'm an anime nerd actually developed over time and she got used to that and understood that I was a fanboy. I entered the Harry Potter fandom pretty quickly and suddenly so maybe that's why she doesn't quite understand it as much.
This is turning into another pity-party-for-Patrick-because-no-one-understands-him-blog.
Let's not do this.
HAPPIER NEWS!
So today I went over to my Etco's house with Alex and Sophie and we watched the first episode of Doctor Who along with the first episode of Firefly.
Have I mentioned that I freaking LOVE Joss Whedon? I'm literally his biggest fanboy.
I haven't watched Firefly in a long time and it was good to see it again. I don't think I got to fully appreciate it when I watched it. I was quite young, you see. I didn't realize how GREAT the characters and the writing were. *sigh* I love Joss.
Next week is basically going to be a TV/Book marathon for me. I'm going to be at my country house where I really don't have much to do so in that time I plan to....
- Finish Dollhouse, another (CANCELLED >:|) Joss Whedon series which I haven't finished yet.
- Finish Doctor Who season 4.
- Get through a good amount of my book.
- Work for money.
AND IF I HAVE A LOT OF TIME...
- Start Supernatural season 4.
I finished Supernatural season 3 a long time ago and never started season 4 which is sad because I actually own the hard copy of the 4th season. Same with Dollhouse, I've had the first season for a long time but never finished it. Dang EFAO. Taking up ALL my time.
My chances of getting to LeakyCon may or may not have improved. My sister today said "I'll take you" but I couldn't tell if she was serious. Maybe I can convince her next week. Everyone in my family seems super annoyed when I talk about it xD
OH!
So Alex, Sophie, Etco, and I all tried Redvines today! FREAKING INTENSE. loljk
They weren't THAT great. But we also got the jumbo pack so maybe they would have tasted better if they were regular sized. I could just be defending them because of the awesomeness that they contain. I don't really know. So far,
Twizzlers > Redvines if we're comparing taste. But I plan to buy normal sized Redvines soon (if I can find them).
The fact that I FOUND a pack of Redvines makes me feel like more of a Hufflepuff.
*grins*
*straightens Hufflepuff tie*
Wrapping up this blog, wanna know something stupid I did today?
Ok, ok, background details.
At my house I can make jokes that some swearing in them and stuff, anyway I don't swear a ton but with my family it's cool if I do.
So we're in the car today talking about my friend and Alex and I as you may or may not know have a very odd relationship. We are always saying things like "LET'S HAVE SEX." and it's funny. We basically act like we're married or...friends with benefits or whatever. Anyway. When we were talking about my friend I brought up a story that happened a while ago.
On my YouTube channel I have a video of my friends and I performing a dance and I dance with another girl in it.
So Alex one day was like
"WHO IS THIS WHORE?!" and I brought up this story in the car today, completely oblivious that I was in a different car with a different family and her mother was like "I HOPE you don't talk like that." and I felt AWFUL about it.
Alex is one of my closest friends and I would really rather not have her parents think I'm some...bad kid. Yes. Bad kid. Totally not what I meant to say but I'm sure you get the idea.
IT IS 12:01 AND THIS BLOG IS LATE.
THAT IS ALL!
GOODBYE!
My friends are shouting FAIL at me for posting this late. They are laughing about my stress. Bad friends. loljk I love them.

BEDA #2 - Being home and LeakyCon stress
Oh hello there.
Welcome to August 2nd a.k.a BEDA #2!
I bet you were excited for this. Don't pretend you weren't. I know you were. Nothing to be ashamed of, I'm just SO freakin' awesome that everyone should be excited for my blogs.
loljk I'm not that awesome.
Alright so today I finally left Ottawa and I'm back home in Montreal! I've been feeling pretty homesick for the last week or so. I've been travelling since last Thursday so I haven't been home in a while. This is why I never went to go away camp, I knew I'd get homesick. Luckily a lot of friends of mine don't go to go away camp either so I wasn't alone all summer.
I think this summer's been pretty good. The highlight was definitely ROFLCOPTOUR/AwesomeCon. I think 2010 was a great year in general, becoming a nerdfighter, entering the Harry Potter fandom, everything has just been awesome.
I haven't been making much progress in the LeakyCon convincing plan. It's really stressing me out/scaring me. I can't imagine not being at Leaky next year, I was talking it over with my Mom today (and by "talking it over" I mean begging her to let me go) and at one point she said
"Why don't you just go when you're 18?" (I told her it only happens every 2 years.)
And I told her that it would be done by then. I don't really know if I meant it but I know something inside me is afraid of what will happen to the fandom after the last movie. If it's going to die then I want to be there at it's peak, which is going to be LeakyCon 2011.
I understand her reasons for not letting me but at the same time it's really not fair. It's at the worst time and she won't give me another chance to go by myself with friends. I messed up my first chance at AwesomeCon but I don't regret it. It really sucks when no one in your family understands you. Last time I brought up how badly I wanted to go to this Harry Potter conference my mother just laughed and my step-father kind of shook his head. They're not bad people they just really do not understand how important it is to me. My father said maybe he'd go with me but I know it's not going to happen. I still have a lot of time to convince so hopefully it'll all work out.
I really don't wanna turn this into an angst-y complaints blog but angst-y complaints are all I really have to write about right now.
OH. Weird story.
I was at Wonderland last week in Toronto and I got a pocket call from my brother. For those of you who don't know, a pocket call is one of those calls you get unintentionally when someone puts their phone in their pocket and it randomly dials a number. Right after I got that call I got a call from the police and these were my first reactions
Reaction 1: WTF?!
Reaction 2: Wow, this voice sounds just like it does in all the movies. (You know the woman voice on the police line who says "911 emergency, is there a problem?" or something along those lines?) It sounded almost identical.
So I'm assuming it was just an accidental pocket call to them but I usually lock my phone and it was just strange.
I really don't have much else to say for today! I'm glad Sophie told me to make this blog. I'm one of those people who really don't express themselves enough. I don't talk about my problems much or write music about them or etc. So I'm glad I can write about them.
Anyway.
Something that made me really happy today: http://bit.ly/a8tq87
Quote of the day: "When I was in 6th grade they showed us a video of worms having sex while an old man sang the song "Worms Exchanging Sperms" in the background. It was the oddest experience of my life." - Maddy
I found that very amusing xD
PS - I'm addicted to the AVPS soundtrack. I made a StarKid playlist on my iTunes and I've been playing it for the last few hours.
That's it for today,
Patrick out, bitches.

BEDA #1 - The Beginning
Oh dear.
So, dear friend Sophie convinced me to make this blog and because I a) have nothing better to do and b) can't say no to Sophie, here I am. Writing to whoever may read this.
Alright so let's start off with the name of this blog..
It's called "I'M IN A RAGE!" mainly because I brought it up in a skype chat and my friends said I should go with it. It's a joke from A Very Potter Sequel, Harry is freaking out and randomly shouts "I'M IN A RAGE!"
It can work in other ways as well, I suppose. In times when I'm actually in a rage I can always return to this blog and complain about why I am in a rage. (That's deep, Patrick. Very deep.)
I honestly wanted to think of something deep for the title of this blog. I searched in the depths of my mind (and the internet) for some quote from either Buffy or Harry Potter to give me inspiration. But I found nothing. So I'm here with I'M IN A RAGE!
So let's go over what I've been doing for the past couple weeks since they've probably been the most eventful weeks of my entire summer.
Last Thursday I drove up to Poughkeepsie to visit some of my internet friends and I had too much fun.
We stayed at my friend Kara's house with a few other people and it had to be one of the best weekends of my entire life.
I'm in a collab channel with 4 of my other friends called NerdfighterRatio, and during the trip to Poughkeepsie I finally met Maddy, the Thursday of our channel which was beyond amazing.
I don't think I'll ever forget the first time I met these people, meeting internet friends IRL for the first time consists of lots of yelling and hugs and you never want to leave them. During that weekend we also went to ROFLCOPTOUR where I met some of my favourite YouTubers and wizard rockers. I even met Kristina Horner (who I have a huge fanboy crush on).
Leaving them at first didn't seem that hard, I knew I would see them again and I could always go back to the skype conversation where most of us were introduced to each other to talk to them as much as I wanted.
I realized a few days after leaving that it was extremely hard.
It's strange how that was the first time meeting them face to face and I didn't even stay with them for very long and still when I left them it felt like I left part of myself behind with them. (That may or may not be due to the fact that Kara is my accidental Horcrux)
So this week was basically a nostalgia-fest inside, combined with stress and fear.
Nostalgia - If you've read this far, you should know why.
Stress - I have this performance thing coming up at an Anime Convention. It's sort of become a tradition with my friends. And because of various reasons I have become totally unreliable to my group. I don't think I'll do this again next year.
Fear - Due to many different reasons my Mom said she might not let me go to LeakyCon 2011. Which is basically my worst fear ever. I missed everything in the Harry Potter fandom, I finished Deathly Hallows less than two months ago. I am NOT missing the experience of seeing the last movie with the people who will really care as much as I do about it. But I will go.
In general news, right now I'm reading A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby. It's a pretty good book, I'm liking it. I'm using my awesome Hufflepuff bookmark I bought from the Harry Potter exhibition today.
I forgot to write about that! Right. Harry Potter exhibition in a nutshell:
Tons of awesome movie props everywhere, I pulled a mandrake, I saw a clip of "TROLLL IN THE DUNGEON" and cracked up, and there were no Hufflepuff scarves/hats/ties in the shop and I was offended.
I've also got Freaking Ask Me To The Yule Ball by The Parselmouths stuck in my head. Such a good song. The Parselmouths are freaking awesome. The lack of muggle music in my life right now is kind of sad. I've been listening to some stuff from Darren Criss' new EP on repeat but I doubt that totally counts as muggle music considering the songs I listen to on repeat are Sami and Not Alone, both featured in AVPM. I have been listening to some LIGHTS acoustic and Jack's Mannequin but the Wrock/nerd music has been kind of overpowering the muggle music.
Wow. That was long. (thatswhatshesaid) But I'm glad I did it. Maybe I could start blogging fo shiz. Who knows. Anyway.
Thanks for reading! Hope you liked it. I plan to commit to BEDA so whether you like or not there's more to come :)
See you tomorrow,
PatrickWrocks
